Responsibilities
- Supervision of the company's full accounting, including tax settlements.
- Full responsibility for accounting records, processes, and procedures.
- Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and statements.
- Implementing and maintaining internal control policies and procedures for accounting transactions and budget control.
- Responsibility for creating and maintaining a chart of accounts in accordance with established reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and tax law.
- Responsibility for the process of reconciling balances with contractors and inventory reconciliation of company assets.
- Oversight of the proper flow of accounting documents.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable tax and accounting regulations.
- Implementing and supervising the accuracy of tax settlements.
- Preparing declarations for tax offices: JPK, VAT, CIT, and other required filings.
- Accounting settlements related to withholding tax, intra-community acquisition of goods and services, and import-export activities.
- Preparing financial statements in accordance with the Accounting Act and IFRS.
- Legal and formal review of accounting documents.
- Coordinating and conducting annual audits; improving systems and procedures and initiating corrective actions when necessary.
- Communication and collaboration with external institutions (Tax Office, Social Insurance Institution, Central Statistical Office).
- Preparing and proposing budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with various departments.
- Acting as a financial advisor to management, providing recommendations based on financial analyses and forecasts.
- Responsibility for the annual audit of the financial statement and tax audits.
- Monitoring changes in legal regulations (e.g., customs and import duties), analyzing their impact on the company, implementing or recommending appropriate solutions, and adjusting the company’s tax strategy.
Professional experience required
- Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, with recognized accounting qualifications in Poland (e.g., Certified Auditor or equivalent).
- A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in accounting, preferably in the technology or manufacturing sector.
- Practical knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations specific to Poland and the EU.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision; ability to lead and supervise.
- Strong analytical skills to create detailed financial reports and cost analyses.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, proficiency in team management and internal communication.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets.
Nice to Have
- Good knowledge of Notion relational databases or similar
- Familiarity with process automation tools (RPA)
