Responsibilities

  • Analyze current fan performance and resistance curves within high-power DC chargers to identify areas for optimization.
  • Redesign and optimize existing cooling systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and overall performance.
  • Select, integrate, and test fans and other cooling components based on the specific needs of our DC charging systems.
  • Perform CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations to model airflow and heat dissipation for design validation and improvements.
  • Conduct thorough validation testing, including prototype testing and data analysis, to ensure optimized thermal performance.
  • Collaborate effectively with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration of the cooling solutions.
  • Provide guidance on material selection and design modifications to improve thermal performance.

Professional experience required

  • Technical or higher technical education (mechanical engineering, thermal engineering, cooling systems or related);
  • 3 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Proven expertise in CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, OnScale Solve, Simscale).
  • Hands-on experience with thermal management of power electronics or similar systems.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer principles, and fluid mechanics.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and tracking project tasks.

Other requirements

  • Ability to work in a team
  • Very good knowledge of technical English enabling work in an international team
  • Strong motivation, determination, ability to organize working time
  • Ease of making contacts

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in the design of cooling systems for high-power electronics or industrial systems.
  • Solid knowledge of DC power systems and the various components within a charger.
  • Hands-on experience with prototype testing, system validation, and test stand development.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced product development environment.
  • Understanding of thermal management strategies for power electronics.
  • Knowledge of Onshape CAD software;
  • Knowledge of Slack and Notion;
  • Knowledge of Google Suite
  • SEP Qualification up to 1kV
